Meet Janice

 My journey began when friends and family assumed I could officiate ceremonies due to my pursuit of a master's degree in Religious Studies. Although not licensed initially, I soon realized the genuine need for someone to bridge diverse identities and beliefs while helping individuals, couples, and families mark life's significant moments.

Since 2007, I've crafted and officiated over 700 unique life-cycle ceremonies, aiming to connect and empower all community members. My passion lies in facilitating meaningful events for those outside traditional religious affiliations, celebrating diversity and inclusivity.

My journey includes navigating numerous rebirths, influenced by personal losses and the realization that bearing witness to our most meaningful moments in life often left participants feeling overlooked. I became determined to change this narrative and contribute to more thoughtful, personalized rituals.

As a multi-passionate spiritually agnostic minister, ritual designer, creative, advocate, and more, I bring a wealth of experience to creating ceremonies that honour every individual. Holding a Master's in Religious Studies from the University of Toronto, an Honours B.A. in Ritual Studies, a B.A. in Religious Studies (world religions), and a certificate in Biblical Studies from York University; I also have certificates in leadership, bereavement and grief education, and counseling.  I'm committed to making your life events uniquely special.
